BRAD LYNN HINKLE

Brad Lynn Hinkle, the son of Roger and Joy (Crider) Hinkle, was born Aug. 18,1977 in Mountain View, Mo. and passed away in St. Louis, Mo. May 12, 2024.

Brad is survived by his wife Renae and sons Keaton, Cooper and Cort. His parents Roger and Joy Hinkle of Houston, one brother T.J.Hinkle (Christa) all of Houston, and a large loving extended family.

Brad grew up in Birch Tree, Mo. and moved with his family to Houston in the 4th grade. His family attended Faith Fellowship in his youth, where he accepted Jesus as his Savior. He graduated from Houston High School in 1995. Brad started working for NAPA during high school. He found he had a true passion for parts and worked for several area car dealers, including his favorite job with Carl Honeycutt. Then he found employment selling truck parts for MHC Kenworth and finally at Peterbilt of Willow Springs.

After many prior attempts by friends and family to set up Brad and Renae; finally, they both cooperated and were blessed with unconditional love for one another. They were married on May 22, 2004. Together they embarked on many adventures fishing, hiking, camping, exploring the mountains and enjoying life together. When Brad had a passion for something, he was all in. Much of his life he has spent hauling fish out of the rivers, streams, lakes and making baits to help him accomplish that task.

A few years after they married Brad started his cow hobby. He again poured all his energy into all things cows. He found people he knew who could give him advice and through lots of long hours after work, he enjoyed tending his Hereford cattle.

Brad loved being a dad to Keaton, Cooper and Cort. He was very proud of the boys and the young men they were developing into. He spent time with the boys fishing, hunting, target practicing, working on the farm, camping and tinkering on various projects.

Brad was a member of the First Christian Church of Houston where he served as a deacon for many years. Brad loved the members of the church, and they have been a huge, loving extended family throughout his adult life.

Brad was diagnosed with cancer in January 2023. In the last year and a half, he has learned to lean on friends and family. Most importantly he has grown deeper in his love and faith for Jesus Christ during this illness. When Brad could no longer work, he spent his days praying for friends and family to know Christ.

Brad was a wonderful person who was easy to talk to and a pleasure to know. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 17 at the First Christian Church in Houston with Pastor Joe Friend officiating. Interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Services were under the care of Bradford Funeral Home and online condolences may be left at www.bradfordfuneralhome.net
