    CODY WILLIAM ICE

    Cody William Ice was born Sept. 1, 1940 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Mo. to Floyd Herbert and Clara Rose (Cody) Ice. He passed away May 26, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. at the age of 83.

    Cody was united in marriage to Marilyn June (Coats) Ice on Oct. 4, 1959. They were blessed with two children, Cody William Ice II and Stevie Rhiannon Ice.

    Throughout his life, Cody was a member at Souls Harbor Church and also attended Faith Fellowship, both in Houston, Mo.

    He spent his entire life living in Houston. He attended Houston Schools, graduating with the class of 1958. Cody spent all four years of his high school career as an active member of the Houston FFA. He became FFA president his senior year and went on to become a State FFA officer.

    Cody owned and operated C + M Bonding with his wife Marilyn for 40 years. He and his family continued to operate Iceway Farms, which his parents Floyd and Clara started in the late 1940’s. Cody had a huge interest in registered livestock production. He also loved spending time with his wife and children.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Clara Ice.

    Cody is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughter, Stevie; son Cody II and his wife Joyce; grandchildren, Dusty, Staci, Jayden and Xander as well as a great grandson, Tyler; his brother Herbert; nieces, Janell, Angela, Maris and Nancy; nephews, Herbert Jay and Van and a cousin Floyd McKinney.

    Private graveside services were held at 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 29 at the Ozark Cemetery with Dr. Howell Burkhead officiating. Services were under the care of Bradford Funeral Home and online condolences may be left at www.bradfordfuneralhome.net
