    Houston Police: Man arrested on drug charges

    ​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

    Between June 3 and June 9, the Houston Police Department answered 165 calls for service and initiated 26 traffic stops resulting in 11 citations and 25 warnings.

    • On June 3, officers arrested Trapper M. Barfield, 48, of Piedmont, on two active Wayne County warrants per charges violation of a court order and property damage. Barfield was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated after being unable to post the $2,500 bond.
    • On June 3, officers cited Tristain L. McGee, 26, of Mountain Grove, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
    • On June 6, Gabriel Travis, 18, of Houston, was issued six citations for stealing under $750 for separate theft incidents at Walmart.
    • On June 7, officers investigated a private property motor vehicle crash near First Street. No injuries were reported.

    • On June 7, officers arrested a 20-year-old female from Columbia for driving while intoxicated-person less than 17 years of age in the vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child-2 nd degree, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway, failing to register a motor vehicle and no insurance. The female was transported to the Texas County Jail and a report was forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal charges.
    • On June 8, officers responded to a Houston business for a male who would not leave. Officers arrested Harold R. Townsend, 47, of St. Louis, on a Texas County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Townsend was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated after being unable to post the $1,500 cash-only bond. A report was also forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for additional charges.
    • On June 9, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Forrest Drive for a verbal domestic dispute. The parties separated for the evening.
