    Houston Police: Officers work theft investigation, accident

    ​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

    Between July 1 and July 7, the Houston Police Department answered 175 calls for service and initiated 26 traffic stops resulting in 12 citations and 19 warnings.

    • On July 3, officers responded to U.S. 63 near Highway F for a single vehicle non-injury motor vehicle crash. The crash occurred after the vehicle’s wheel came off the vehicle.
    • On July 4, officers cited Daniel S. Crawford, 36, of Cabool, for driving while suspended.
    • On July 5, officers responded to Walmart for two theft investigations. The investigations are ongoing.
    • On July 5, officers cited Jerica R. Metcalf, 33, of Houston, for discharging fireworks within the city limits.
    • On July 7, officers responded to the 800 block of Augusta Street for a burglary investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
    • On July 7, officers arrested Christina F. Stubbs, 42, of Cabool, on an active Wright County warrant per charge possession of a controlled substance. Stubbs was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was incarcerated.
