    Houston Police: Officers work accidents, investigations

    ​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

    Between July 8 and July 14, the Houston Police Department answered 191 calls for service and initiated 32 traffic stops resulting in 12 citations and 32 warnings.

    • On July 9, a 35-year-old female reported to officers that her ex-husband had stolen money from her bank account. This investigation is ongoing.
    • On July 10, officers responded to the 6900 block of U.S. 63 for a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, it was found a 2015 Jeep Wrangler had struck a business. The driver, Deborah Ellison, 60, of Solo, was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail, where she was cited for Driving While Intoxicated. No injuries were reported.
    • On July 11, officers responded to the 400 block of South Grand Avenue for a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, it was found that a southbound 2008 Dodge Avenger struck the open door of a parked 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. No injuries were reported.
    • On July 12, officers responded to the 600 block of Ozark Street for the report of property damage. This investigation is ongoing.
    • On July 12, officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on U.S. 63 near Highway 17. During the investigation, it was found a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado had left the scene after traveling through a ditch and striking a street sign. Officers located the vehicle a short time later and the driver, Mark Fry, 66, of Raymondville, was cited for Careless and Imprudent Driving and Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident.
    • On July 13, officers responded to the Houston Municipal Golf Course for the report of property damage. This investigation is ongoing.
    • On July 14, Melissa Conrad, 38, of Houston, was cited for Driving While Revoked.
