Things to Do: Upcoming Food & Drink Events in Houston this Fall 2024

On Thursday, October 24, Navy Blue , 2445 Times, will join OpenTable and nonprofit Ben’s Friends to host the second installment of the OpenTable x Ben’s Friends dinner series, which aims to raise awareness and funds, and expand access to resources and assistance for those who struggle with substance abuse and addiction.

Chefs Aaron Bludorn and Jerrod Zifchak of Navy Blue and Philip Speer of Comedor in Austin will offer a four-course seated dinner paired with curated “no-buzz” beverage pairings. The menu includes highlights from both Comedor and Navy Blue, with dishes such as Gulf Crab Tostada, Amberjack Crudo and Lobster Ravioli. Tickets are $80 per person.

From Thursday, October 24 through Sunday, November 3, The Audrey , 9595 Six Pines, is offering a special, five-course wine dinner featuring Rivero González, a family-owned winery from the Valley of Parras, Coahuila, Mexico. Highlights include soft poached egg with parmesan cream and caviar, Maine lobster roll with truffle taco chips, petite filet with agave glazed brussels and more. five-course dinner costs $120 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

Houston Chronicle will host its Culinary Stars event on Thursday, October 24 from 6 to 9 p.m., showcasing over 30 distinguished restaurants from around the city with live demonstration stations. Tickets start at $125.

Mutiny Wine Room , 1124 Usener, invites all champagne lovers to indulge in elevated experiences on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 in honor of International Champagne Day. Berg Hospitality Group's First Responders Day will take place on Monday, October 28, as the restaurant group thanks and honors those on the front lines. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., participating BHG concepts will offer a free three-course meal to on-duty First Responders, as well as a $25 three-course menu for their guests. This includes federal law enforcement, EMTs, paramedics (public ambulance services only), firefighters and police officers. Participating concepts include B&B Butchers Houston, B.B. Lemon, B.B. Italia, The Annie Cafe & Bar, Nopo Cafe, Market & Bar and Trattoria Sofia .

On Tuesday, October 29, local restaurants, coffee shops and breweries will come together for the Taste of Pearland , hosted by the Pearland Chamber of Commerce at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2320 Hatfield, from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 GA and $3 VIP. The event kicks off Pearland Restaurant Weeks , running November 1–30.
