The Astros' weekend series win over the Texas Rangers isn't the only W that Houston has over our Arlington-based foes.

The intrigue: Downtown's Minute Maid Park ranked 11th out of 30 MLB stadiums for walkability, a recent analysis shows.

How it works: Walk Score analyzes hundreds of walking routes and nearby amenities to calculate pedestrian friendliness and walkability on a scale of 0-100. Population density and road metrics are also considered.

    • A good Walk Score (above 69) does not require a car and reflects how easy it is to walk to a location or use public transportation. A walker's paradise is a score of 90 or above.

Zoom in: Minute Maid Park scored a 74 on the scale and is "very walkable," as Walk Score puts it.

    • Arlington's Globe Life Field scored a 50 and is described as only "somewhat walkable."

Zoom out: Boston's Fenway Park, San Diego's Petco Park and Toronto's Rogers Centre all tied for the No. 1 spot with a score of 97.

    • At the bottom of the list with a score of 25 was Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium.

Go deeper: The analysis also included transit access and bikeability.

    • Minute Maid Park scored an 82 for its "excellent" transit connections and 73 for being "very bikeable."

💭 Jay's thought bubble: I've biked to Minute Maid Park several times in the last few years, and it's always a dream to not have to pay for parking.

    • I also wanted to point out that the rating enshrines Houston as home to the Lone Star State's reigning champion of sound urban design and America's pastime.
    • Thank goodness I'm an Astros fan, because I can't imagine the perils of biking or walking anywhere in the vicinity of Globe Life Field.
