Hunt for mystery $3million lottery winner who only has hours to claim huge prize

Texans with lottery tickets are being urged to give them a second glance, as a whopping $3 million jackpot is yet to be claimed .

Texas officials have verified that the Mega Millions ticket was snapped up at a petrol station in northwest Houston, at the Polar Express #3 shop on Blalock Road.

The ticket hit the jackpot with all five numbers , missing only the Mega Ball which would've netted a staggering $453 million.

"Once a winner comes forward and completes the claim process, the Texas Lottery will issue a news release with more information," Texas Lottery representatives informed KPRC-TV, a local NBC affiliate, via email.
