Astros manager Joe Espada was tossed from Tuesday night's game against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field after arguing strike calls with the home plate umpire.

The ejection happened in the bottom of the third inning, when Framber Valdez dropped a pitch in the top of the zone but did not get the call. But the dispute can be traced back to the top half of the inning, when Jose Altuve did not get the benefit of a strike call that he clearly felt cost him an at-bat.

Space City Home Network's television broadcast showed Altuve between the inning visibly frustrated and about a demonstrative as you will ever see him. Shortly after that, Espada was arguing the call on a Valdez pitch.

It is the second time this season the Astros' first-year manager was ejected from a game. The last time he was ejected was also in Chicago, but on the North Side instead of the South Side, when the Astros played the Cubs in April.
