Texans have followed a similar path to a Super Bowl team from the '90s that could see them have similar success

The Houston Texans have had quite the offseason - one unlike any other they have had. With all of the moves they made this offseason - trading for Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs , or even signing Danielle Hunter , it's obvious the Texans want to capitalize on the rookie contract of their stud quarterback C.J. Stroud.

It's pretty obvious they are going all in. And, they have the potential to win the Super Bowl. If last year has taught us anything with the insane progression that the team made, it's that the Texans are in win-now mode, and they will be for a long time.

They took a three-win team from 2022 and won a playoff game in 2023 with a rookie head coach, rookie offensive coordinator, and a rookie quarterback. As they return almost all of their staff, a ton of the same players, and add to the team, it's obvious that the Texans are Super Bowl contenders.

And, with one thing they did this offseason - something that hasn't been done since the '90s, they are on a path to replicate what that team from the '90s did - win a Super Bowl.

The Houston Texans are now the second team in NFL History to add two players in the same offseason with ten or more sacks, with those players being Danielle Hunter, who had 18 sacks last season, and Denico Autry, who had 11.5 sacks last season with the Tennessee Titans.

The last team to do that was the San Francisco 49ers, who won the Super Bowl that following year.

Now, this doesn't mean that the Texans are an automatic bid for the Super Bowl in 2924. They still have to do the work. But, I can confidently say this means doing the work should be a bit easier than it maybe was last year.

Having those two new guys will also only make things easier on Will Anderson. It's going to be a blast to watch.
