HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Astros will open the 2025 regular season on March 27 with an Opening Day matchup with the Mets. This is a historic meeting, considering in the franchise’s 63-year history, the Astros have never played an Opening Day game against the Mets, which is a franchise that entered the Major Leagues in the same year as the Astros franchise (1962). This also will mark the first time in club history for the Astros to play an Opening Day game against an Interleague opponent.

The opening homestand in total is a six-game set, featuring a three-game series with the Mets (March 27-30), which includes an off day after Opening Day, and a three-game series vs. the Giants (March 31-April 2). The Astros first road trip of the season is a six-gamer, which will take the club through Minnesota (April 3-6) and Seattle (April 7-9).

The 2025 season is the third year with the schedule format of playing every other Major League club in a single season. The Astros will host 21 different teams at Minute Maid Park in 2025, which includes seven National League clubs and all 14 other American League clubs.

The Astros home schedule features huge weekends against the Mets (March 27-30), Padres (April 18-20), Twins (June 13-15), Cubs (June 27-29), Rangers (July 11-13), Orioles (Aug. 15-17) and two against the Mariners (May 22-25, Sept. 19-21). The Astros will also host weekday games against the Blue Jays (April 21-23), Phillies (June 24-26), Guardians (July 7-9), Red Sox (Aug. 11-13), Yankees (Sept. 2-4) and Rangers (Sept. 15-17), among others.

The Astros will host holiday matchups next season on Easter Sunday (April 20 vs. SD), Mother’s Day (May 11 vs. CIN), Father’s Day (June 15 vs. MIN) and Labor Day (Sept. 1 vs. LAA) and will play a huge July 4 matchup against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
