Houston Texans could make one last push to acquire another star player before the 2024 season starts

The Houston Texans went all out this offseason. General Manager Nick Caserio brought in several star players to help take this roster to the next level, and hopefully, it worked.

The team recognizes the unique opportunity and position they are in. They have a top-five quarterback in the league on the second year of his rookie contract, so why not load up the roster before they have to pay him what could end up being the biggest contract in NFL history?

The trade of former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who is now being added to an already elite receiver corps, was one of the more polarizing moves they made this offseason, as well as the addition of running back Joe Mixon and defensive end Danielle Hunter.

Now, they could be adding another star player to the team while they are in training camp.

According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, the Texans could make a push to sign free agent, All-Pro safety Justin Simmons, who has played for the Denver Broncos the last near decade.

He has yet to be signed and is very available and ready to play football. So, he could be cheap.

He didn't have a bad season last year, but the Broncos made a decision to move in a different direction. Simmons is coming off of three straight All-Pro seasons and doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Seeing him and Jalen Pitre together would be a blast.
