Comparison may be the thief of joy, but it's also all we have to talk about unti the NFL season actually begins. As long as we're comparing teams and players, the Houston Texans are looking awfully tough going into the 2024 season.

The latest evidence comes from the players themselves, who have voted on their annual Top 100 players list that's being released 10 at a time by NFL Network. So far, three Houston players have made the cut. Here's who they are and where they ranked.

    56. WR Stefon Diggs

    68. DE Danielle Hunter

    71. LT Laremy Tunsil

Defensive end Will Anderson Jr. and quarterback C.J. Stroud also have a case to be included on this list, but it's no guarantee that they'll make it given the historic reticence of players to give even standout rookies their proper respect. Sometimes the talent is simply too much to argue with, though. Other outside possibilities include running back Joe Mixon, cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. and wide receiver Nico Collins.
