Megan Thee Stallion Launches Emergency Power Program for Houston Residents

In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl, Megan Thee Stallion has announced a new emergency power program to assist her hometown of Houston.

The recent hurricane has left 2.7 million residents without power, causing significant hardship, especially for the city’s senior citizens.

US Weekly Magazine reports that the soaring summer temperatures have resulted in six heat-related deaths, underscoring the urgency of the situation.

Life Inc., Megan’s Pete and Thomas Foundation has initiated the Emergency Power Program to provide generators to senior citizens affected by the power outages.

Established by the rapper in 2022, the foundation focuses on supporting women, children, and seniors in underserved communities.

“We want to expand our support of the most vulnerable people in the city, and Hurricane Beryl, the derecho, and other storms have highlighted that our seniors are in dire need of assistance,” said Rasmus, a representative from Bread of Life Inc.

She added:

“Through our partnership with Megan Thee Stallion and her Pete and Thomas Foundation, we hope to provide generators to senior personal care homes this hurricane season.”

The initiative comes more than a week after Hurricane Beryl caused billions in damage, leaving thousands still suffering in its aftermath.

Megan Thee Stallion’s efforts aim to alleviate some of the hardships faced by Houston’s most vulnerable residents during this challenging time.
