Houston Chronicle writer Jonathan Alexander joins Next Up to talk about the Houston Texans preparing for the 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame against the Chicago Bears on Thursday in Canton, Ohio. "It's going to be all young guys playing," Alexander said. Rookie Kamari Lassiter will probably not take the field, but "other rookies will get a lot of playing time."

The Texans drafted Lassiter out of Georgia with the 42nd overall pick, and the cornerback has been a standout at training camp. "Kamari Lassiter is better than advertised." The Texans "replaced a lot of key pieces, but I think they did it the right way."

Alexander also comments on quarterback C.J. Stroud experiencing a minor injury scare Saturday after defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi stepped on his foot, and running back Joe Mixon continuing to miss practice. "They'll do everything they can to have C.J. Stroud ready to play in week one," and I don't think [Mixon] will be out for the long term."
