Wild Video Shows Frontier Pilot Arrested, Taken Off Plane in Handcuffs

A flight between Houston and Dallas is normally a short, uneventful affair. But travelers on a recent Frontier Airlines flight got quite a surprise while aboard their aircraft waiting to take off.

Video captured by flyers at George Bush Intercontinental Airport showed Captain Seymour Walker being escorted off the Frontier plane by authorities around 4 p.m. local time Aug. 1. According to The Associated Press , Walker was wanted on an assault family violence arrest warrant issued by the Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport Department of Public Safety. He was taken "into custody without incident."

Frontier spoke about the incident in a statement.

"The activity occurred prior to the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW)," the airline explained, per USA Today . "A replacement crew member was not immediately available and therefore the flight was canceled."

According to KXAS , Walker has since bonded out of jail. The affected flyers were taken care of. "Impacted customers were offered the option of a full refund, credit, or re-accommodation on the next available Frontier flight later that evening," the airline said.

It certainly turned what would've been an unremarkable trip across the state into an unforgettable moment for everyone on board and watching from the terminal.
