DeMeco Ryans talks to NFL Network about Houston Texans’ 'spirited' Monday practice

Sometimes you have to go away from home to find out who you are and fulfill your potential. For a lot of people that happens when they go to college out of state. For NFL teams, sometimes things don't really click until a road trip. It sounds like the Houston Texans may have had a break-through yesterday while practicing at general manager Nick Caserio's high school outside Cleveland.

According to beat reporters who were on-site, things started slow at Monday's practice but picked up when quarterback C.J. Stroud got into a rhythm. The biggest highlight was an incredible long ball to Stefon Diggs. The defense also picked up later, showcasing their strength on that side of the ball even without their two starting defensive ends on the field.

After practice was over, head coach DeMeco Ryans joined NFL Network to talk about what he'd just witnessed. Here's what he had to say to Brian Baldinger and Steve Wyche.
