Police chase leads to arrest of two suspects in Harris County
HOUSTON, Texas - A high-speed police chase on July 23, 2024, ended with the arrest of two suspects after their vehicle crashed into a barrier wall, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4.Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's office attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3400 block of North Sam Houston Parkway West. The driver, identified as Alex Nguyen, refused to stop, leading deputies on a pursuit. During the chase, Nguyen lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the barrier wall.Nguyen was apprehended at the scene. The passenger, Jonathan Wood, ignored verbal commands and physically resisted detention. After a brief struggle, deputies detained Wood."Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail," stated Constable Mark Herman. "Alex Nguyen was charged with Evading Arrest in Motor Vehicle. His bond has not been set out of the 185th District Court. Jonathan Wood was charged with Interference with the Duties of a Public Servant. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 16."
