Hot Springs, Ark. (June 24, 2024) — Statewide nonprofit Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) welcomed a new team member on June 10. Brianna Otero is now the Program Manager for the ASPSF Ouachita Region, covering Clark, Dallas, Garland, Grant, Hot Spring, Howard, Montgomery, Pike, and Polk counties. In this role, Otero will not only help local single parent students on their educational journeys but also manage volunteers and conduct fundraising activities.

Texas man killed in accident in Howard County
Sunday afternoon, a camper and truck overturned killing the driver on Highway 278 near the Cossatot River. The accident happened about 2:33 pm. According to the report from the Arkansas State Police, 45-year-old Nathan Boquist of Wills Point, Texas was traveling westbound on US Highway 278 in a 2015 F250 pickup pulling a camper.
