A great horned owl is now back in the wild after it was rescued from a soccer net in Greene County. On June 29, a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation officer went to Ararat Youth and Conference Center in Greenville to free the bird.
Fire damages Harley-Davidson store in Mayfield
Crews responded to Adirondack Harley-Davidson on Bellen Road in Mayfield on Thursday around 8:15 p.m. for reports of a fire. Once there, crews found heavy smoke was in and coming out of the roof of the building, said Fulton County Emergency Management.
Albany man charged with making ghost guns, following multi-agency investigation
ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — A 21-year-old Albany man was arrested Friday on several charges related to the manufacture of ghost guns. On Thursday, the New York State Police, Special Investigations Unit (SIU) – Albany, arrested Rahmeer Nesmith, following an investigation. This investigation was conducted in coordination with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and New York City Police Department - Major Case Field Intelligence Team. Further investigation by SIU Albany revealed that Nesmith was manufacturing ghost guns.

Prominent local attorney E. Stewart Jones has been disbarred after an investigation found that he was commingling clients’ funds. The probe was spurred by a check associated with an escrow account at his former firm that was returned in January 2019. All of the escrow accounts at the firm were audited over a seven-year period.
