East Topeka intersection to close this week for repair work
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - An East Topeka intersection will close to traffic this week so repair work can take place. City of Topeka officials on Tuesday said the intersection of S.E. 18th and Madison streets will be “fully closed” for an emergency sanitary sewer repair. starting Thursday, Aug. 1.

Topsoil moisture supplies rated 13% very short, 33% short, 52% adequate, and 2% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 12% very short, 34% short, 52% adequate, and 2% surplus. Field Crops Report: Corn condition rated 5% very poor, 12% poor, 31% fair, 40% good, and 12% excellent. Corn silking was 84%, ahead of 78% last year and 76% for the five-year average. Dough was 48%, ahead of 35% last year and 32% average.
