Still time to buy fireworks, local retailer says

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – For many people, it’s a Fourth of July tradition to include fireworks in their celebrations and one retailer says buying them is smoother and quicker this year.

Wholesale Fireworks in Hubbard has noticed people were shopping earlier for fireworks this year with the holiday falling on a Thursday, which has spread out the rush and made buying easier.

They said bigger fireworks are popular again this year.

“It’s very family-orientated. Now it’s based about big parties. It’s big about celebrating, you know, not only the fourth of July, the birth of the country, but it’s a great time for people to get together in the summer, and you know, spend some time together and make an event out of it,” said R.T. Naples from Wholesales Fireworks.

For those who still need to purchase fireworks, Wholesale Fireworks, Phantom Fireworks, plus F&V Fireworks are all open Wednesday night. They will all be open Thursday as well.
