Woodburn Police Department re-ups accreditation
Woodburn Police Department recently renewed its accreditation for the period of 2024-27, the fifth accreditation the department has earned this century. WPD Chief Marty Pilcher apprised the Woodburn City Council of the renewal during the June 24 meeting, during which he noted that the department first earned accreditation in 2011 under Chief Scott Russell. The course ends with a final treat for riders to take in stunning views of Mt. Hood with a loop through the old Far Hill Farms field. The beginning of the course will first start with a warm-up loop around show jumping obstacles in the outdoor ring at Sherwood Forest and then riders will continue directly onto the course. Oregon inmate dies in custody; cause of death under investigation
SALEM, Ore. — An adult incarcerated at the Oregon State Correctional Institution (OSCI) in Salem and passed away on July 1, 2024. The cause of death is yet to be determined. The Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) tells us that Benjamin Leland Bucknell, died Monday afternoon at a local hospital.
