Three people are dead after separate motorcycle crashes in Gresham, McMinnville and Clark County over the weekend, police reported. Gresham police responded to reports of a crash at Southeast 190th Drive and Cheldelin Road around 10:00 a.m. Saturday. They arrived to find a pickup truck and a motorcycle had collided.

The Oregon Ducks are projected to finish second in the Big Ten in their first season in the conference, according to the annual cleveland.com preseason poll released Monday. The Ohio State Buckeyes are the overwhelming favorite to win the conference, earning 21 of a possible 27 first-place votes. 61-year-old man dies after being hit by car in east Salem
A 61 year-old Salem man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle on Sunday morning on State Street near 47th Avenue SE, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office. 911 callers reported a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle just before 10 a.m. Sunday, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies and emergency personnel responded and attempted lifesaving efforts, but the man died at the scene.
