The First Buc-ees in Ohio Slated to Open Next Year in Huber Heights

According to a recent Columbus Business First article, Texas based Buc-ee’s has confirmed the location of its first Ohio store. Last year, the company announced it was moving into Ohio and this week it confirmed the first store to open in the Buckeye State will be at 8000 State Route 235, in Huber Heights, a Dayton suburb.

The fueling centers are known for the massive interior of its stores that feature a fast casual, made in-house menu of items like brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, breakfast tacos and burritos. Each store also features an onsite bakery that offers pastries, cinnamon rolls and cookies, and there are coffee drinks available in store that range from espresso to drip offerings.

According to the article, The Buc-ee’s will be on a 74,000 square foot development and will occupy 39 acres of a 52 acre site. Additionally, the Huber Heights location will have 120 fueling pumps, 24 Tesla charging stations and almost 700 parking spots.

Buc-ee’s started in Texas in 1982 and has grown to over 40 locations in seven states, with most of its stores located in southern states. What Now Columbus reached out to the company to learn when they plan to break ground at the Huber Heights site, but a request for comment was not returned.
