Hudson Falls-Fort Edward Restaurant Week set for August

HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A new restaurant week event is coming to Washington County this summer. Hudson Falls-Fort Edward Restaurant Week is set for August 4 through 10 .

The event was organized by Dave Archambault, who owns Backstreet BBQ with his fiancé Jill Plude. They relocated the restaurant from Lake George to Hudson Falls last September.

“Hudson Falls and Fort Edward have a lot of great places to grab something to eat,” Archambault told NEWS10. “I thought we would would bring some attention to the area.”

For this first-time event, seven restaurants are participating. Each one will be offering a three-course special menu for $25, along with their daily menu during normal business hours.

  • Main: Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap or Reuben
  • Dessert: Chef’s Choice

  • Starter: Lobster Bisque or Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
  • Main: Pulled Pork or Roasted Tomato Flatbread, or Chicken or Pulled Pork Quesadilla
  • Dessert: Chocolate Trilogy Cake
• Backstreet BBQ , 35 John Street in Hudson Falls
  • Starter: Mozzarella Stick, Mini Beef Tacos, Fries, or Onion Rings
  • Main: 1/4 Rack of Smoked Ribs and 8oz Smoked Sirloin
  • Dessert: Warm Brownie

  • Starters: Riceballs or Stuffed Mushrooms

“With the new craze of village and city tourism departments bringing out-of-the-area food trucks to their municipalities and not-so-much promoting the brick-and-mortar locations in their area, I figured it was a good time to collaborate with other owners to hold an event that might put our businesses in the public eye a little more,” said Archambault.
