“Yankee Chronicle” 7/4/24 presented by Prospect Hill Furniture, Antiques and Art Gallery
Welcome to the Yankee Chronicle. For the next two weeks we’re coming to you from Prospect Hill Furniture, Antiques and Art Gallery in Sunapee Harbor. I’m your host Abby Peel. Prospect Hill has 6500 sq. ft. on three floors providing an excellent viewing experience of new fine furniture with over 100 antiques on display as well as 21 artists in house offering, pastels, oil and acrylics. Today we’ll meet Cory Flint to tell us more about this jewel in the harbor. We’ll get a review on the inaugural Drone Show from last weekend here in the harbor. Kate Niboli from the Library Arts Center will give us a look at their current show. Elizabeth Harper will give us a preview of the Lake Sunapee Preservation Association’s upcoming Bioblitz. And we’ll close by meeting one of the many craftspeople who will be showing at the 2024 League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s Fair coming up the first two weeks in August.

30 new condos part of big housing project in Rochester
ROCHESTER — Thirty condominiums in five new buildings may soon be added at 86 Church St., where plans also call for upgrading 12 existing apartments into condos. The city Planning Board on Monday night voted to advance the project, which will total 42 condo units, according to Scott Lawler of Norway Plains in Rochester, the engineer for the project. The development is being proposed by Stabile Companies of Nashua.

DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire junior forward Cy LeClerc (Brentwood, N.H.), senior captain Alex Gagne (Bedford, N.H.), sophomore forward Ryan Conmy (Alexandria, Va.), sophomore defenseman Brendan Fitzgerald (North Reading, Mass.), sophomore forward Marty Lavins (Riga, Latvia) and freshman forward Ryan MacPherson (Windsor, Ontario) are on National Hockey League Development Camp rosters taking place from July 1-7. The development camps feature top prospects who will participate in team meetings, off-ice testing, on-ice sessions and scrimmages.

(Andover, MA) -- The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) announced the results of this year's "National Dual Meet Rankings," and for the ninth time since 2011, Andover concludes a season among the Top 25 Programs in the United States. Former UNH Head Coach Bill Herrion added Stonehill Basketball Staff
Former New Hampshire head coach Bill Herrion has been named as an assistant basketball coach at Stonehill University. Herrion has spent 32 seasons as a D1 head coach, serving at UNH (2005-23), East Carolina (1999-05), and Drexel (1991-99). He holds a career mark of 464-472 (.496), with his best stretch coming at Drexel, where he went 167-71 (.702) during his eight seasons at the helm. The veteran coach also worked as an assistant for Mike Jarvis at both Boston University and George Washington.
