Ohio Native, Logan Paul, May Be the Next Hulk Hogan Despite Being One of the Most Hated Men in Mainstream Media

But, despite being one of the most hated influencers on the internet, his newfound wrestling skills may mark his name in the history books, next to some of the greats.

Logan and his brother Jake both broke through from social media to mainstream fame for all the wrong reasons. Jake was first covered by a major news outlet after climbing onto a KTLA news truck while filming one of his daily vlogs. And, continued to make waves as the Disney star turned problem child trickster, before pursuing a career in professional boxing.

Despite being older, Logan's path was none wiser, first making major news (also in 2017), after posting a video of himself exploring Japan's "Suicide Forest" -- filming himself giggling while a recently deceased man hung from a tree in the background.

And, years later, both Paul brothers' names continue to be linked to controversy and public scrutiny. Most recently, in late 2022, Logan was accused of scamming investors with his NFT project, CryptoZoo by YouTube journalist, Coffeezilla.

But, Logan's most recent turn to sports entertainment as a bonafide wrestler has left even the harshest critics speechless. Making his WWE debut one day after his birthday, on April 2nd, 2021, in Westlake Ohio, the now 28-year-old made headlines for his natural high-flying abilities.

Twitter erupted with begrudging praise of the young superstar. Even WWE legend, X-pac released this Tweet saying,

Logan Paul is a hell of a Pro Wrestler already. His technique is sharp as F. He stays in the moment & he's really good at the detail stuff."

Since his debut, Logan has continued to raise the bar, consistently delivering fun, entertaining, quality matches. Most recently, Logan wrestled at Wrestlemania 39, jumping off the top rope onto his Prime Hydration partner, KSI. And, as first covered by ESPN, Logan announced he has re-signed a multi-year deal with the WWE.

When you've got natural talent, you become undeniable. And, it seems as though Logan's move to sports entertainment may be the first step in re-writing his narrative.
