The early internet days were filled with great memes.

From disaster girl to Harambe to cat memes... so, many cat memes. And, one of the most viral ever is now being solidified into internet history.

Originally posted in 2007, the YouTube video contains two brothers from the UK, Harry & Charlie Davis-Carr sitting on a couch. A 3-year-old Harry places his finger inside his 1-year-old brother's mouth in which Charlie promptly bites his finger (as children generally do).

    Shocked, Harry exclaims,

    "Charlie bit me."

The original "Charlie Bit My Finger" video had been watched 882 million times before the family reportedly removed it from YouTube after selling it as an NFT (non-fungible token) for $760,000.

Although thousands of internet celebrities have been made since the rise of social media in the early 2000s, this story acts as a rarity for one reason -- they were able to cash in on it. So many stars find themselves catapulted into internet (even mainstream) fame without any reward other than a lifetime of typecasting and online bullying.

After, although the Davis-Carr family didn't churn their stardom into a multi-million dollar career alongside the likes of characters like Bad Bhabi or Justin Bieber, they've been able to cash in on their viral stroke of luck.

In an interview with Daily Star, the boys' father, Howard shared that they've been able to save an estimated $1 million to be used to put their 4 boys through university one day.

"The biggest change to our life is that instead of having two children, or three children, we have four children—and we saw the money as a way that actually we can afford that comfortably."
