Sculpture on UH campus targeted by vandal on morning Beryl hit
HOUSTON — A piece of art on the University of Houston campus was vandalized at a time when Houstonians were most vulnerable. On the day Hurricane Beryl made landfall in Southeast Texas, a person was seen on surveillance video damaging a sculpture entitled "Witness," by Shahzia Sikander. The sculpture sits in the Cullen Family Plaza in the middle of the UH campus.

Harris County crime: 15-year-old charged with stabbing Hockley mother to death
HOCKLEY, Texas - A 15-year-old boy has been charged with stabbing a 62-year-old Hockley woman to death on July 20 in northwest Harris County.
