Donald Trump made a bizarre and erratic series of posts attacking Joe Biden on Sunday night, prompting critics to speculate that he was freaking out about the president’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 race.

Trump first reacted to Biden’s announcement by trashing his record and calling him the “single worst president by far in the history of our country.”

By Monday morning, he had posted on Truth Social 10 more times about Biden. He claimed the president “never had” COVID-19 and called him a “threat to Democracy” and argued, “It’s not over! Tomorrow Crooked Joe Biden’s going to wake up and forget that he dropped out of the race today!”

On Monday morning, Trump bizarrely claimed that Biden was trying to arrange talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping “concerning the possible start of World War 3.”

Biden and many Democrats have endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to take over as the party’s nominee, upending a presidential race that would previously have included the two oldest nominees in history.

“Donald Trump’s social media feed is getting sadder by the minute,” the anti-Trump MeidasTouch group said of the screeds.

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y.) wondered if Trump is “aware that President Biden is no longer his rival?”

“Anyone who thinks Trump isn’t running scared of Harris should check out his last few Truth Social posts,” commented former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan.

Another X user quipped that “Trump is doing something known in legal circles as ‘sh*tting his pants’, with tremendous dignity.”

See those reactions and others below.
