Travis Scott has been released from police custody in Paris .

The Grammy-nominated rapper joined thousands in attending the 2024 Olympics and, after watching the U.S. men’s team defeat Serbia in basketball Thursday night, was arrested early Friday at the Four Seasons Hotel George V over an alleged altercation with his bodyguard — but won’t face charges.

The prosecutor’s office in Paris confirmed Saturday that “the police custody order for Travis Scott has been lifted and all proceedings (against him) were terminated because the incident was minor,” corroborating claims from an insider privy to the situation.

A source close to the rapper, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, told Entertainment Weekly that “no violence” occurred between Scott and his security team and claimed police detained him for 24 hours “over a verbal argument” that didn’t turn physical.

“There are no plans for him to be charged in the future and there are no injuries to any other party including his security,” the source added, noting Scott “has been swarmed by fans and paparazzi all week” and “blamed his bodyguard” for not doing his job properly.

Scott has certainly had trouble navigating the swarms of fans and photographers during his Paris vacation, as evidenced by footage on social media showing the rapper making a pushing motion while attempting to get into a waiting car.

The prosecutor’s office initially announced Friday that Scott was arrested for alleged “violence against a security guard” and noted that hotel security was forced to intervene when the 33-year-old rapper and his employee launched into their dispute.

In June, Scott was arrested in Miami on disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges in connection with a fight on a yacht. At the time, his lawyer told Miami’s New Times that there had been “absolutely no physical altercation” and that it had been a “misunderstanding.”

Scott was released on a $650 bond at the time. The intoxication charge was thrown out this week, but the rapper still faces the trespassing charge.
