Stephen Colbert Spots Exact Moment Trump Threw JD Vance Under The Bus

Stephen Colbert said there are signs Donald Trump is already regretting his decision to pick Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate.

Vance has been stiff and awkward at campaign appearances and has managed to repeatedly offend key voting groups, especially women, with comments such as his infamous 2021 dig about “ childless cat ladies .”

Just this week, audio resurfaced of him agreeing with a podcast host that the “ whole purpose of the postmenopausal female ” is to help raise grandchildren.

Colbert said Trump was reportedly asked at a fundraiser about people calling the Republican ticket “ weird .”

“Trump replied, ‘Not about me. They’re saying that about JD,’” Colbert noted. “That’s nice. Nice teamwork.”

He then played an updated version of the ending of “Thelma & Louise” that might reflect how Trump really feels about Vance at this point.
