After so many seasons of covering Amazon’s Prime Day, I’ve learned to exercise a little self-control when it comes to partaking in sales. But on this most recent Prime Day , my discerning ways were no match for this cute, affordable and highly pocketed travel bag that turned out to be a true hidden gem and a top seller — and it’s currently up to 26% off in two of the five colors .

I’ve never been quiet about my tendency to overpack, nor about my love for expensive luggage and travel bags. Specifically my Dagne Dover Landon carry-all that I’ve used and adored for a few years now, but have felt, as of late, that it doesn’t carry as much as I would like, nor does it have as many organizational pockets as I need. This was why it was an easy sway to buy this Bagsmart bag , a sizable duffle with a fun puffer exterior and tons of compartments to keep everything in place.

Similar to the viral internet luxury sensation that was the Béis weekender bag , the Bagsmart has a completely separate bottom zip compartment that’s perfect for holding a couple pairs of shoes (including a pair of my cowboy boots) or dirty clothes — a feature that I’ve never had before in a bag, but really appreciated once I did.

Bagsmart puffer weekender travel bag has tons of organizational pockets, including a bottom compartment for shoes.

Aside from this, it’s equipped with an interior laptop sleeve that’s wide enough to hold my 13-inch MacBook in a case and two interior slip pockets that are roomy enough to hold things like my chargers, pairs of sunglasses in their cases and even a small cosmetic bag I use to transport my diabetes medication. The rest of the interior is pretty generous and can hold a few extra clothing items that don’t fit into my carry-on, two books, and a sweatshirt.

In terms of the exterior, the Bagsmart has two large, zippered front pockets, which are perfect for keeping essentials like my phone, keys, lip balm and wallet close by. I also appreciate the two adjustable side pockets that are big enough to hold my 32-ounce Nalgene water bottle on one side and a pair of sandals on the other. The duffle even has a trolley strap so it can attach securely to the handle of your suitcase and comes with a clear toiletry case that’s already in a TSA-approved size for transporting liquids and non-solid products.

I will also say, despite how wide the bag initially seemed to me upon arrival, it did manage to fit beneath my airplane seat as a qualifying personal item, without any pushback from my airline. And, if you’re someone who normally doesn’t like over-the-shoulder bags, the Bagsmart comes with a detachable padded crossbody strap, although I opted not to use it for my most recent trip.

In all honesty, I wasn’t expecting too much in terms of quality for the $30 that I spent. However, I was pretty impressed with the construction of this bag and the easy glide of all the zippers. In fact, one reviewer wrote that the bag “should be more expensive” and that it’s “a great value for the price.”

There are more promising words from other Bagsmart buyers below, or you can order a bag for yourself from the link above.

    Promising Amazon reviews:

“I bought this bag as a replacement for another one I had purchased from another vendor on Amazon. The zipper broke on the other bag and I requested a new bag from the vendor and they didn’t send me one.... so I bought this one. Glad I did!!! I love it and like it more than the other one!!!.
This bag is soft, more room, and even has a laptop compartment. The price had me in turmoil at first but then it went on sale. Great buy!!!” — T. Clark

Got this for a personal item bag to fly with. It fit 2 nights worth of clothes, shoes and toiletries along with other things. I used compression cubes to fit more and put cubes in the bottom where shoes go which made the bag more stable when you set it down. Love the luggage slide through and love that you can throw this in the washing machine to clean between trips.” — Brittany Sumter

This bag very roomy and held a lot of my outfits that couldn’t fit in my small suitcase and definitely fits under the seat! I would recommend purchasing and love the color!” — JO C

This carryon bag is hands down the best over the shoulder, that won’t hurt ur shoulder but durable carryon bag . Holds so much with many compartments to keep things tidy and easy to find. Back has luggage handle slip thru. I find that if a bag doesn’t have this, it’s not as practical. Having the sleeve to slip thru luggage handles prevent bag from sliding off. I love the fabric of the bag. it’s made very well, light weight yet durable. very very satisfied with this product and its functionality. It should be more expensive. Great value for the price. Wish it came in more colors.” — ricochet rabbit 212
