Eva Longoria declared that Kamala Harris ’ success is “our success” before sharing a version of an iconic campaign slogan for the vice president’s 2024 bid ahead of Harris’ speech at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday.

The “Desperate Housewives” star and activist, who joined her home state of Texas’ roll call at the DNC earlier this week, reflected on knowing Harris for over a decade and called on the convention’s attendees to “have each other’s back.”

“In our community, we have a saying: ‘Si, se puede!’ which means — it means, ‘Yes, we can,’” said Longoria of a slogan once used by Barack Obama ’s 2008 campaign. “But tonight, I’m here to tell you, ‘Yes, she can,’ so we’re gonna say, ‘She se puede.’”

She continued, “So when someone asks you, ‘Is she ready to lead this country forward?’ We’re gonna say, ‘She se puede!’ When somebody says, ‘Is she qualified for the job?’ We’re gonna say, ‘She se puede!’ When somebody asks, ‘Is she going to be the first female president of the United States?’ We’re gonna say, ‘She se puede!’”

Longoria, who donated to Harris’ 2020 bid , showed her support for the vice president’s campaign on the same day that President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race last month.

“Thankful for President @JoeBiden’s years of service and commend his brave decision to pass the torch to a new nominee, in the name of democracy and selfless leadership,” she wrote on social media . “I believe in @KamalaHarris and believe in our collective effort to organize and win this! 💪🏽.”
