Brittany Mahomes shared a cryptic message about the importance of honoring “differing views” amid backlash that she reportedly liked an Instagram post by former President Donald Trump recently.

In a post on her Instagram Stories on Monday, Mahomes shared a message from a blogger and author, Shane Pruitt, about handling disagreements.

“Contrary to the tone of the world today... You can disagree with someone, and still love them,” the message read. “You can have differing views, and still be kind.”

Mahomes, who’s married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, commented on Pruitt’s post, writing in a text overlay: “Read that again!”

The former professional soccer player’s post comes after she faced criticism online for reportedly liking a post by Trump, in which he outlined a “2024 GOP Platform.”

Trump’s MAGA agenda outlined in the Instagram post included plans such as carrying out “the largest deportation operation in American history” and keeping “men OUT of women’s sports.”

A representative for Mahomes did not immediately return a request for comment.

Several media outlets reported last week that Mahomes had liked and then unliked the Aug. 13 post from Trump. Her “like” was not there as of early Sunday.

Brittany Mahomes received mixed responses on social media following reports that she liked Trump’s post.

“MAGA Sister,” one person wrote in the comments section of one of her Instagram posts. “Don’t listen it the Haters….”

“I really cannot believe you support Trump. So disappointing,” wrote another.

On Sunday, she shared a cryptic message slamming haters in a post on her Instagram Story following the controversy over the Trump post.

“I mean honestly. To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,” she wrote. “There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”

Not a Trump fan but men transitioning to play women's sports needs to be addressed and rules and regulations need to be applied. She never said she supported Trump and so what if she did.The American people will decide in November and hopefully most Americans will accept the results with grace and common decency.
