Trump's 'They're Eating The Dogs' Lie Sounds So Much Better Put To Music

Nobody is singing former President Donald Trump’s praises over his terrible presidential debate performance Tuesday night against Vice President Kamala Harris, but some people are putting his words to music.

Specifically, his unhinged lie that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, are abducting and eating pets.

During the ABC News debate, Trump went viral for promoting the baseless conspiracy theory by saying, “In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs. The people that came in, they’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there.”

Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, couldn’t help but laugh at Trump’s bizarre rant, mainly because there’s simply nothing to back up the claims.

But some people on social media provided a different kind of backup to Trump’s pet-eating lie: musical accompaniment.

Many people noted a musical quality to the way Trump said “they’re eating the dogs” and were inspired.

Some noted that Trump’s rant fit perfectly with “Linus & Lucy,” best known as the “Peanuts Theme.”

Jazz bassist Dywane “MonoNeon” Thomas Jr., who, back in 2017, put Trump’s biggest brags to music, also found musical inspiration in Trump’s dog-eating lie.

British comedian Fearghas Kelly noted that Trump’s recitation fit in well with the “Simpsons” song “We Put the Spring in Springfield.”

Others took a more improvisational approach.

One person remixed it into a dance song.

    One guy went pure metal.
