Trump Campaign Adviser Takes 'Hell' Of A Swipe At Ted Cruz's Team Amid Senate Race

Chris LaCivita , senior campaign adviser for Donald Trump ’s 2024 bid, took to social media on Saturday to slam Ted Cruz ’s team amid the Texas senator’s push for reelection.

“What the hell is wrong with the Senate race in Texas ? I think i know …and i think i know his name ….time to get some real professionals in to save @tedcruz,” LaCivita wrote on X .

The dig comes as a recent poll shows Cruz — a senator for more than a decade — is leading Rep. Colin Allred (D-Texas) by four percentage points, 47%-43%, with a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.

Cruz, a Trump ally in the years since the former president attacked his wife during their 2016 GOP primary rivalry, “enthusiastically” endorsed Trump earlier this year.

Trump has yet to endorse Cruz, who has held a narrow polling lead , as Allred looks to become Texas’ first Democratic senator in over three decades. He previously backed Cruz in his 2018 race against Beto O’Rourke.

LaCivita’s comments arrive after Paul Dans, the ex-director of the controversial presidential transition plan Project 2025 , recently knocked him and Trump senior campaign adviser Susie Wiles over their push for President Joe Biden to drop out of the race while having “no plans” for Vice President Kamala Harris .

“That is on par with historic campaign malpractice,” Dans told The New York Times .

Social media users clowned LaCivita over his remarks about the Cruz campaign.
