Ethel Kennedy's Legacy Honored On Social Media

Ethel Kennedy left her mark on the world, and her death on Thursday has definitely made an impact on social media.

Moments after her death was announced, tributes started pouring in on X, formerly called Twitter, dedicated to the social activist and widow of Robert F. Kennedy .

The luminaries honoring Ethel Kennedy’s memory included former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, as well as Oscar-winning actor Marlee Matlin.

A sampling of responses can be seen below.

Members of Kennedy’s family also honored the matriarch, but her son, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has yet to publicly address her passing.

However, RFK Jr.’s wife, Cheryl Hines, did make a post dedicated to her late mother-in-law .
