Country Star Brantley Gilbert Halts Concert As Wife Gives Birth On Tour Bus

Country musician Brantley Gilbert says he had the “craziest night” of his life after his pregnant wife went into labor midway through his concert.

The “Bottoms Up” singer was pulled offstage during his concert in Tupelo, Mississippi, on Friday minutes after his set kicked off.

In a video shared to Instagram , Gilbert revealed to his nearly 2 million followers that the emergency he had to leave for was his wife, Amber Gilbert, giving birth to their third child on his tour bus.

“So last night might have been the craziest night of my life. Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget,” he wrote alongside backstage clips of the special moment.

He continued, “Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support, and most of all … Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you.”

In the footage shared by Gilbert, the musician can be seen talking on the phone with his mom, who asked how he was doing.

“Not as good as you are about to be, you got a new grandbaby,” he replied.

When his ecstatic mother then asked, “How’s Amber?” Gilbert gushed, describing her as “a freaking savage.”

“I know she is, she’s amazing. She’s absolutely amazing,” Gilbert’s mom told him on the phone.

Elsewhere in the video, the country rocker returned to the stage after his little one’s birth, where he announced to the crowd that the pair, who tied the knot in 2015, had just welcomed their third child.

“We got a baby,” Gilbert said onstage, as the audience roared.

Many of Gilbert’s fans congratulated him on social media as well.

“What a story that little guy has to tell 🔥,” one person commented on his post.

Another commented, “Congratulations and what an amazing birth story. You got a rock star on your hands [he] wanted to be a part of the show.”

“I love this. Your wife is a badass and a saint for sharing you with the fans after she had a baby! ❤️💙,” someone else added.

In a separate Instagram post , the couple revealed their baby boy’s name: Abram Howell Gilbert.

“We will never forget the way you got here and we can’t wait to see what you do here,” they captioned the post, which included a photo of the two holding their son.

In May, the couple announced their third pregnancy on social media.

“How’s this for a Mother’s Day?” Gilbert captioned an Instagram post with a photo of the couple getting cozy on a beach and holding up a sonogram image.

The two are also parents to two other young children: Barrett and Braylen.
