A robot vacuum is great for supplemental cleaning , but sometimes, a push vacuum is what you need to really get that dust off the floor. The Dyson V15 Detect Plus is your best bet, especially since USA Today’s Reviewed.com called it the best Dyson you can buy in 2024. And reviewers agree: “[This] has more power and performance than any other Dyson we’ve had yet,” says one . “I actually love it,” says another reviewer who grabbed theirs on sale. “It picks up more than my Roomba and is so lightweight. I have a bad back, and vacuuming hurts it. This one puts me at the right height, so I’m not all bent over.”

While, yes, the V15 Detect Plus has all the makings of a typical Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner — lightweight, an easy-empty canister, a long-lasting rechargeable battery — the Detect differs from other models with its unique laser headlight design. Instead of LED lights, the Detect uses a green laser that makes dirt easier to see, highlighting all that nastiness on your floors so you know precisely where to vacuum. It’s typically $749.99, but right now, you can nab it at 20% off for $599.99 on Amazon — still a premium price but at a worthy splurge for “ the best vacuum on the market .” It’s also the same discount we saw on October Prime Day !

Very cool laser aside, the Detect Plus has an LCD that shows the total amount of particles it’s picking up as you clean, the remainder of your runtime left before it needs a recharge (down to the second ), if maintenance is required and what mode it’s in. You can set it to auto so it automatically adapts its suction power to the type of floor it’s over, eco to save on battery or high to get rid of your dustiest woes. Dyson claims it can last up to 60 minutes on a single charge.

It has four head attachments too, including a no-tangle screw tool for dog fur and hair, a crevice tool, a brush and a smaller screw tool for vacuuming upholstery. “[I] didn’t realize how much pet hair these animals put out,” says one shocked reviewer .

And, of course, it’ll beat that Roomba of yours by miles. “I’d been eying the V15 Detect for a while and am happy to say that it does not disappoint,” says reviewer Phil278 at Dyson’s website . “I have a Roomba-like vacuum robot that runs daily, and when I use the v15 after it, I can see where the robot’s missed things or moved it around.”

If you’re looking for what sounds like the last vacuum you’ll ever need, hit this deal before it’s gone! And read on for more promising reviews from so many V15 Detect Plus believers.

More promising reviews of the Dyson V15 Detect Plus vacuum cleaner:

“I was a little sceptical about buying this vacuum. But I wanted to use it between Roomba running, and quick clean ups. It was on sale at Costco so I decided to try it. I actually love it. It picks up more than my Roomba and is so light weight. I have a bad back, and vacuuming hurts it. This one puts me at the right height so I’m not all bent over. The battery life is great also. I also love the detect feature. I was amazed at what you can actually see with the light.” — Donna

I love this vacuum. It does a great job. It makes vacuuming fun and easy. Can get to hard to reach areas too! Didn’t realize how much pet hair these animals put out. It was a little adjustment learning to keep the button pushed in and more weight in my arm. But after a week you don’t even think of it anymore. I think the battery life of one hour is misleading. Cause it depends on if you are using it on carpet or hardwood. Max or eco modes. For this reason and because it’s so expensive I feel they should include another battery. But I would definitely buy it again. Love it!!” — Teresa

“This new model is a huge step up from the previous v10. The amount of increased suction is VERY noticeable. The attachments and the way the vacuum opens/closes, etc appears to be all the same as the previous models, which is nice to use a few of the other attachments with no issues. I’ve got mixed feelings about the “laser light” it has. Not because it doesn’t work but because it works well and shows just how dirty the floor is. This really highlights dirt like you would not believe. The new hard floor attachment and small pet hair attachment heads are great and work exceptionally well. The weight and balance seems to be about the same. This is such a huge step up from the v10 model in just about every way I can see.” — Chris

“We have a shark cordless vacuum with a LED light on it and we just got our Dyson V15 Detect Plus and the green laser light will show you dust and dirt you never would have dreamed good be in your home. We have been living in filth it feels like but my wife vacuums every day with our Shark and things look clean but until you get the V15 you will never have a truly CLEAN floor. I was almost sick by what I saw. I got it for $599 on the prime October days sale and it’s worth every penny! Buy it and it will change your life. ” — Amazon Customer

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. I absolutely love the green laser tracking for the dust on the ground. It comes with multiple vacuum heads so you can clean anywhere in your house or car. It’s very easy to set up and use the battery lasts for me to clean my entire house in one charge. It’s very light to hold an easy to maneuver. The cost is high but worth the value.” — Jacob Belanger
