MONTICELLO - A 2-year-old died Tuesday evening after being left inside a car in Monticello in Sullivan County. Village of Monticello police reported Wednesday that officers responded to a 911 report of a child in cardiac arrest inside a vehicle outside a building at the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex on Terri Lane around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Drunken driving checkpoints will take place in Monmouth Beach and Sea Girt this weekend, according to the Monmouth County DWI Task Force. The first one in Monmouth Beach will take place from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.
