Chance storms will mix with sunny days in Gillette through Friday
GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette may see a mix of sun and clouds over the next few days with a sprinkling of thunderstorm chances in the afternoons. CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Two Cheyenne residents have been named finalists for AARP Wyoming’s coveted Andrus Award, which goes to the state’s top volunteer over the age of 50. The finalists include Patricia Naumoff of Star Valley Ranch, Cheyenne’s Bryce and Pam Freeman and Sheridan resident Jack Wood. City backs Clean Crow Creek Initiative, spends $100K in emergency procurement for roof repairs
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne is one step closer to better promoting clean water in Crow Creek. At Monday night’s Cheyenne City Council meeting, councilmembers voted to support the Clean Crow Creek Initiative, which aims to improve the waterway’s quality via catch basin stormwater filters, according to a council resolution. The governing body approved a slew of other agenda items, including spending $100,000 for an emergency procurement, provision of youth services, bid considerations and appointment of Robert R. Rose as Cheyenne Municipal Court magistrate hearing judge.

Kim and Mary Kay Love honored during Collective Arts Festival
Kim and Mary Kay Love were honored during the Collective Arts Festival for their unwavering support to Sheridan’s art community. Sheridan Public Arts Committee (SPAC) Chair Greg Luhman announced that a plaque will be placed with a history and words honoring the Love’s dedication and support in creating the sculpture walk, that will now be known as the “Kim and Mary Kay Sculpture Walk” and branded as the “Love Sculpture Walk.” Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger made the official declaration of the new sculpture walk’s name during the presentation. The plaque will be emplaced with Leonardo’s Horse, a prized sculpture in Sheridan’s vast collection.
