The heat won't get in the way of summertime fun on the South Shore this weekend.

Hull will host its long-running Harbor Illumination, where attendees will light the harbor with more than 1,000 flares celebrating Hull's maritime heritage.

Looking for creative demonstrations? Members of the Massachusetts South Shore Woodturners will show their craft at the Norwell Public Library, and there will be 18th-century living history demos at Edaville.

Or if you're looking to have some carefree fun, check out the drag show at Barrel House Z.
