Another Redbird Lands in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Cardinal fans might have their feathers ruffled a bit this summer, but it’s all in fun. The iconic redbird that is also the namesake of our beloved baseball team has some competition, and Great Rivers Greenway wants the St. Louis region to get to know this alternative feathered friend. The Summer Tanager - sometimes all red, sometimes all yellow, and sometimes a mix of the two colors - is the bird species you’ll see in this year’s Greenway Quest, the annual hunt for hand-painted rocks hidden along the 135 miles of greenways in St. Louis, St. Louis County, and St. Charles County.
Former St. Louis officials Lewis Reed, John Collins-Muhammad released from federal prison
ST. LOUIS — Two prominent former city officials who pleaded guilty to taking bribes from a local businessman have been released from federal prison. Federal prison records show former Aldermanic President Lewis Reed and former 21st Ward Alderman John Collins-Muhammad are in the custody of the St. Louis Residential Reentry Management field office. The office supervises people serving time on home confinement or in halfway houses.

WALDRON, Mo. (KCTV) - A broken water main is causing some extra work for people living in one area of Platte County. Anyone living in Waldron, Mo., who gets water from Consolidated Public Water Supply District One is advised to boil water used for cooking or drinking for three minutes.
