High-speed chase near Fortuna ends with wanted felon's arrest on multiple charges
FORTUNA, Calif. — A wanted felon was arrested in Fortuna on Sunday following a high-speed pursuit. The Fortuna Police Department (FPD) says that on Sunday, their officers initiated a pursuit on Rohnerville Road after an officer saw Daniel Fidler, a suspect wanted for multiple felonies, driving his red BMW.
‘Ton’ of Law Enforcement Gathered Near Loleta
This morning, starting around 6:45 a.m., locals reported spotting a convoy at the south 101 exit to College of the Redwoods north of Loleta. One reader said, “Convoy at the 101 exit that goes out south jetty. I don’t know what road is called. It’s 7 am right now.” According to one report, the gathering included “a TON of police at Hookton turnout,” with around “15 vehicles.” Another local agreed that there were about 15 vehicles. He described there being both unmarked and black and white with emblems.
