Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has brought his world-renowned cuisine and style to Kyoto showcasing a mouthwatering fine dining menu at his signature restaurant located in The Shinmonzen. The creative and beautifully presented menu fuses western and asian influences alongside fresh local ingredients enveloping the diner in an unforgettable culinary journey.

Highlights of our tasting menu included the Scallop Crispy Sushi with Chipotle Mayonnaise and a Soy Glaze, the decadent Egg Toast with Caviar and Dill and the melt in your mouth Kyotamba Black Beef Tenderloin.

Each dish was meticulously presented, bursting with flavours and textures. We highly recommend pairing your dinner with their recommended wine pairing featuring bottles from The Shinmonzen’s sister property, La Coste, a picturesque vineyard located in Provence.

Couples can choose to sit out on the ambient terrace, in an intimate corner table, or up at the bar while watching the kitchen come to life. A must dine spot located at the heart of Gion.
