(July 25, 2024) – Carolina Ascent Football Club announced today a preseason friendly against the University of South Carolina women’s soccer team on Monday, August 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Columbia, South Carolina. The match is open to the public and will be played at Eugene E. Stone III Stadium. Admission is free as the club invites fans from across the Carolinas to watch Carolina Ascent FC in action for the very first time.

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Scammers are using text messages to collect phony fines for express lanes on Interstate 77 in the Charlotte area, deputies say. The Iredell County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook that it has received numerous reports about people receiving text messages from someone claiming to be "NCQUICKPASSTOLLSERVICES.COM." The message advises the person to avoid hefty fines by clicking a link and entering their personal information.
