Abortion ruling likely keeps North Carolina a destination
(The Center Square) – North Carolina is expected to remain a destination for abortions in the South following two decisions on Friday in a federal case litigating new state law. Judge Catherine Eagles decided on a permanent block for part of the legislation that says doctors must document the location of a pregnancy before prescribing abortion pills. Myers Park filled with cyclists for this weekend's '24 Hours of Booty'
Hundreds of cyclists will pedal through Myers Park this weekend as part of the 23rd annual "24 Hours of Booty" fundraising event. The event raises money for Atrium Health Cancer Institute, the Levine Children's Hospital and other organizations and nonprofits. It was started in 2002 by Charlotte attorney Spencer Leuders as a way to raise money for cancer patients.

Halloway, who previously spent 22 years hosting the Matt & Ramona Show with Matt Harris on “107.9 The Link” turned “Mix 107.9” WLNK, had moved into that role in May 2023. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing teen, Linnex Sylvester.
