Restaurant with a wood-fired food focus is ready to open newest Charlotte area location
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is opening a new location in Fort Mill on Aug. 26 at Mills Crossing on SC-160, bringing smoky flavors and a fiery focus. The restaurant with Charlotte roots will be the second South Carolina location. Other area locations include restaurants in SouthPark, StoneCrest at Piper Glen, Northlake and Huntersville.

Ford, Williams Make IWLCA Academic Honor Roll
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (July 25, 2024) – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) uncovered its 2024 Division I Academic Honor Roll where Howard University had a pair of Bison make the cut. The announcement came Wednesday (July 24). Goalkeeper Logan Ford (Charlotte, N.C.) and attacker Kimora Williams (Marlton, N.J.) were selected after accumulating a 3.50 grade point average (GPA) or better. Last season, Ford, a political science major, saw action in 15 contests while registering 82 saves. For Williams, the sports management major played in only four matches for HU. Overall, the IWLCA honored 1,163 student-athletes from 113 different institutions....
